Chris Metsala

Chris Metsala advises organizations on IT strategy, planning, security, and social media. For more than 20 years, he has designed, implemented and managed technology-related projects, teams and facilities.

 

From 2011 to 2017, Chris was a contractor to the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon where he supported the planning, strategy and implementation of IT modernizations needed to keep U.S. military systems up-to-date and secure. Chris managed a team of engineers and analysts building mission-critical web applications for senior leadership and staff, and was responsible for the day-to-day management of the Joint Staff’s SharePoint intranet on two classification levels.

 

Prior to his time at the Pentagon, as a contractor to the Department of Homeland Security, Chris helped to build one of the first social media monitoring centers in the Federal government, working to maintain transparency and adherence to privacy regulations. From 2004 to 2009, Chris managed all webcast studio operations at George Mason University, producing live-streamed productions on a national scale for government agencies, political campaigns and Fortune 500 corporations.

 

Chris has a B.A. in Government & International Politics from George Mason University.
